Competent people. Careful hands. Clear accountability.

Slohaven Transfer is a family-owned specialty transport company based in Birmingham, Alabama, serving private clients, designers, dealers, galleries, auction houses, and families across the Southeast.

Every piece has a story. We carry it forward.

I started Slohaven because important pieces deserve more than ordinary moving or freight. I have always liked the work itself—the planning, the equipment, the route, and the problem-solving—but the real purpose is taking good care of something another person values.

Jennifer and I built Slohaven as a legacy company for our family. We built it the right way, for the right reasons: telling the truth, treating people fairly, and proving that thoughtful work can become something lasting.

Rigorous authenticity.

We tell the truth—even when it is difficult, uncomfortable, or costly. Clients receive clear communication, honest timing, and direct accountability from the Slovensky family.

The Slohaven standard.

Move slowly. Arrive clean. Speak courteously. Promise carefully. Deliver completely.

Every transport begins with judgment: understanding the piece, the route, the access, and the equipment required. We use clean enclosed equipment, protective wrapping, pads, dollies, and securement chosen for both the item and the home around it.

We do not compete for whole-house moves or commodity freight. Slohaven was created for antiques, original art, fine furniture, architectural pieces, and other belongings people care about deeply.

Care measured in more than miles.

A client once asked us to bring a 1920s Victrola from Fort Worth to Birmingham. It was the only object she remembered from her childhood. Seeing it returned to her home reminded us that value is not always financial. Sometimes the story is the value.

We built Slohaven for our family—doing it the right way, for the right reasons.
