Are you a moving company or a freight company?

Do I need to be present at pickup or delivery?

Can you pick up from a store, auction house, estate sale, or marketplace seller?
Yes. We can pick up from retail stores, showrooms, auction houses, estate sales, warehouses, businesses, and private sellers when the pickup details are confirmed in advance.
Can you deliver inside the home or business?
Yes, when included in the quote. Room-of-choice delivery, stairs, elevators, long carries, or difficult access may affect pricing and must be disclosed before booking.
What happens if the pickup or delivery location has difficult access?
Please tell us in advance about stairs, narrow driveways, low-clearance areas, elevators, gated access, gravel roads, steep hills, or limited parking. Access issues may affect scheduling, equipment, labor, and pricing.

Tell us before booking. High-value, fragile, antique, or hard-to-replace items may require additional planning, documentation, packaging, or special handling.
Do you inspect items before transport?
When possible, we document the condition of items at pickup and delivery. Customers should also inspect items and disclose known damage, loose parts, weak legs, glass, marble, fragile components, or prior repairs before transport.
Are there items you will not transport?
Yes. Slohaven Transfer may decline items that are unsafe, illegal, improperly packaged, outside our equipment capabilities, or require specialized handling beyond our scope.
We do not transport hazardous materials, illegal goods, or items that cannot be safely loaded, secured, or delivered.
Interstate Household Goods and Arbitration
Do you offer arbitration for interstate household goods shipments?
For qualifying interstate household goods shipments, Slohaven Transfer offers a neutral arbitration program in accordance with 49 U.S.C. § 14708.
This applies to certain disputes involving loss or damage to household goods and certain disputes involving charges billed after delivery in addition to charges collected at delivery.
Where can I find arbitration details?
Arbitration information is provided in the applicable shipping documents for qualifying interstate household goods shipments. Customers may request additional information before goods are tendered for transport.
